In today’s world, Fillers, Juvederm, and Botox use are the new normal.
The trend of changing yourself to look a certain way came about when Kylie Jenner came out about her lip injections. After denying getting lip fillers for several months, she decided that it would be right to come out and stop lying to her fans.
The cost of lip fillers can range from $500 to $2,000 depending on the doctor and where you live. Juvederm can cost $450 to $600 per syringe. Per unit of Botox costs $12, but it per vial it costs $15. For each treatment area where Botox is injected, the cost can be anywhere from $450 to $800. Fillers aren’t permanent and can easily be erased, but if you want your lips and face to look plump and age free forever, you would have to go to a plastic surgeon every 3-6 months to get them refilled.
Bruising and bleeding are common issues that occur after receiving fillers. Juvederm is a soft tissue filler and helps with facial volume loss and aging. The doctors can numb the area with an anesthetic or numbing cream but the creams and anesthetics wear off after about 15 minutes. Lip fillers usually take about 15-20 minutes, but you can see results instantly. There is no set time for Botox to take, but results don’t show up until around 48 hours later and bruising and swelling can occur where the needle goes into the face.

Possessing medically enhanced looks has become the newest form of beauty. Girls these days feel the pressure of not looking like Kylie even though she has enhanced herself to look more beautiful.

Women and girls feel the need to change the way their bodies and faces look because the two Jenner girls are what the definition of beauty is by most of the adolescent world.
It’s a hard world to live in for teenage girls everywhere who are feeling stressed that their bodies aren’t perfect and the judgment of having their Instagram pictures not liked 100 times because they’re not beautiful enough.
